You are reading the wrong message from the Lincoln. An identical black ’65 convertible has been used in the show Entourage – most likely the idea inferred in the commercial.
For that matter, it’s one of the most loved luxury sedans of the ’60s. Somehow, the Imperials never did catch up (though Green Hornet has spurred mild interest in them again).
